The Wolff family has been farming for over 100 years in Dapp, Ab, which located about a one hour north of Edmonton. They are a mixed farming operation and seed approximately 500 to 600 acres of grains and oilseeds as well as put up feed for their cows. They run 120 cows and background all their calves. They bought their first Shorthorn bull 35 years ago from Edward’s stepfather, Oliver Bell, who was retiring and have been using Shorthorn Bulls ever since. They have found that the Shorthorns are usually very docile and mother up really well. They are good mothers with good udders and have very few problems with getting calves to nurse.
They Wolff Family is very honored to have been nominated and chosen for the Commercial Shorthorn Breeder Of The Year for 2019.
Congratulations to the Wolff Family! On behalf of the Alberta Shorthorn Association, we would like to thank you for choosing Shorthorn.
